Welcome to Iceni’s inaugural year book. We wanted to find a way of marking ten years in business which reflected our approach to team work, client care, and our love of the job - and a yearbook seemed a pretty good way of balancing those objectives. As you might expect within that context, there’s a rich mix of articles on our team, from individual pursuits to company activities, both in and outside of office hours. We’ve also incorporated a number of profiles to reflect some of our growing areas of work, from ‘Booming Barking’, to growth in food distribution, to 'planning for real’ activities in East Tilbury. The intention is that we will issue future yearbooks every October, and it will be fascinating to see how subsequent years unfold; what our people do, how our client activities pan out, inevitably the political landscape, and how we both react to, and anticipate in advance, change.

Iceni Projects obtained unanimous support from the London Borough of Camden for the mixed-use redevelopment of 277a Gray’s Inn Road.

David Kavanagh of Iceni’s Development Management sister, IAM, writes that the Health and Safety Executive (the HSE) has opened a consultation on the replacement of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (the CDM Regulations).

Ryan Broom joins as a technician straight from college, and has already started his on the job-training programme.  Ryan’s objective is to undertake a part-time degree course to become a fully qualified transport planner. Lucy Howes, Charlotte Hutchison and Danielle St Pierre all join as assistant planners.  Lucy and Charlotte were the stand-out candidates of our recent recruitment drive, whilst Danielle had a head-start, having undertaken a successful work-experience placement over the summer.

Any recent visitor to ‘Iceni Towers’ will know that space has become something of a premium.  As willing and flexible as our people are, we couldn’t really keep asking new recruits to work in the kitchen or on the stairs.

Iceni Projects is pleased to announce that Ian Mayhead has joined the company as an Associate within the planning team.

September 2012 is proving to be a significant month for Iceni Projects with three new Directors joining the planning team, these latest recruits from Drivers Jonas Deloitte and Gerald Eve bring many years’ experience and help to further establish Iceni in a range of property sectors.
