Any recent visitor to ‘Iceni Towers’ will know that space has become something of a premium. As willing and flexible as our people are, we couldn’t really keep asking new recruits to work in the kitchen or on the stairs.
Fortunately, we have managed to secure an additional floor within our building from September ‘13, which will allow us to increase the number of meeting rooms, and crucially, desk space. So now we can get on with filling that space too.
All of our teams are looking for people. In Planning alone, we predict we need six planners and four senior planners/associates. Transport require a transport technician, Community Planning are on the look-out for bright, young politicos, and Sustainability require newly-qualified consultants.
In addition, we are seeking to appoint a financial controller to take some of the heat out of our accounts team, and to provide financial planning for the next phase of our growth.
Our sister-company – I.AM – is looking to bring in additional development managers and project managers, both to deal with existing schemes, but also to lead on identifying opportunities for new business.
And of course, we are nothing if not ambitious, and so we have a few cunning plans in the pipeline for increasing our range of services further, which will generate a need for additional people.
Looks like we are going to require another floor…
