Iceni Projects has secured reserved matters approval for the construction of approximately 30,000 square metres of high quality, modern, B1 office floorspace set in attractive landscaped squares. Rushmoor Planning Committee approved the scheme unanimously on the 14th August 2013 and were keen to commend the exceptional quality of the Design Team’s work.

Iceni’s Planning Team advised the client on all planning matters and the Community Planning Team engaged with the local community and politicians to achieve this successful outcome.

It is the latest in a range of improvements being undertaken by XLB on behalf of HEREF Farnborough Limited since they acquired the site in 2012 and serves to open the site up to the business park, improving links across to the iconic listed airship hanger and the mixed use business ‘hub’ beyond. This development will change the face of this part of the business park providing impressively designed and well-connected additional floorspace, capable of accommodating over 2,000 new jobs.

The business park as a whole comprises 125 acres of office lead mixed use development set in attractive grounds, strategically located within easy reach of nearby air, rail and road communications. The park offers all the services required to meet modern business needs, including: a day nursery; on-site park manager; green management initiatives; and shuttle bus services to and from Farnborough Station.

Close working with the local planning authority enabled the application to be approved within 8 weeks of registration.
